To hell with the potential ad bait. The DSCC and DNC need to go all-in on fueling Jones and burying Moore.

Democrats are not winning this seat. Frankly, the only way to stop Moore is to prop Strange.

I think we're seriously underestimating how much Alabamans hate Roy Moore. He's a chronic general election loser for a reason.
No, they don't the love him it may not show up in poll or in votes but many in Alabama believe in what he is saying. Take from the avatars on here who are from the deep south.

Nationalization of this race will hurt, not help. Just look at the Georgia special election VS South Carolina.
Democrats goal is not winning Alabama but increasing Moore profile to link him to the Republican party as a whole. SC-05 has traditionally been a blue dog district with few people open to voting Democrat Shaheen won the district in his 2010 race. That has never been the case in GA-06 even if it weren't nationalized.

Why would winning not be their goal?
Because it's the DNC.

I’m calling fake news on this story,IF this were true then why didn’t these women come out and reveal this back in 2000 or 2012 or before the primary during the runoff oh right because it’s fake news!

Did you even read the article?

He did not.
Yes I read the article I’m not understanding why they (WAITED) 40 years to reveal this that’s why it seems like BS fake news.
One of the victim children were still in school she did not want to disrupt them from having a childhood. Be considerate and leave the partisan defense alone for once.

A write-in campaign of another republican here would mean a Democratic victory here if they votes aren't split in a lopsided manner. The Alabama electorate is just too inelastic.
Alabama Republican are also very partisan this is different from Louisiana in 2015.

Are they really that much more partisan than Louisiana Republicans?
Louisiana has a recent history of electing Democrats before Edwards Alabama does not.

This is the Alabama State Auditor on the allegation today. The GOP is having a moral crisis.

This is the most pathetic defense of Roy Moore yet:

https://twitter.com/ScottPresler/status/928994208941297664

Note: This guy is gay and he's defending a man who thinks he should be dead for being so.
Really have you heard AL state auditor?
"Zechariah was extremely old to marry Elizabeth and they became the parents of John the Baptist," Zeigler said. "Also take Joseph and Mary. Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter. They became parents of Jesus."

This will change the minds of absolutely 0 Roy Moore supporters.

Does point towards a possible ejection from the Senate if elected, though.

I have my doubts that the Senate Rs would do anything other than welcome Moore with open arms.

Unless they think they can hold a new special election that will get them an R more keen to their agenda and leadership IMO

Ejecting him is really the best-case scenario for the GOP. Governor Ivey just reappoints Strange and we hold a second special in 2018, and the GOP gets its safe vote without having to have the whole "We have a pedophile in the caucus" issue.

What's to stop Moore from running again in the second special election?

That, and Ivey seems to be self-aware enough that the optics would be terrible. It's write-in or bust
It's Alabama who will stop them from changing the date.

That really is there best chance at this point. If McConnell is actually considering this you know they must hate Moore. McConnell's already pissed that he can't get anything done with his 2 vote majority.
I think McConnell knew he wasn't going to get anything done legislatively outside of nominations.
