12 Republicans joined Democrats in the vote.
The vote was 59-41.

Thom Tillis had initially said he planned to vote for the resolution. But in a last-minute reversal, he voted against it, saying ...
"Today, I come to the floor to say that I do not intend to vote for the resolution of disapproval."
Then adding "The White House has been very gracious and I should say very patient given my initial position in working with us."

So if Tillis had voted for the resolution, it would have been 60 votes.

What a coincidence....they just happen to be 1 vote short of a veto override. Im sure its just chance and not political theatre in any way tho. My oh my

Lmao 60 is not veto proof , 67 is

Gardner isn't an idiot. He is just avoiding a primary challenge and voters won't care about a vote 1.5 years from now.

This is self-contradictory.  If voters wouldn't remember his vote, he wouldn't have to vote based on the possibility of a primary challenge.

More as Trump or Fox News  would remember and maybe endorse a primary challenger
