Why would he do better in the South with Wilson as his opponent? Bob Dole had no connection to the South either and he still performed well there.

Bob Dole was from Kansas , and appealed to rural voters better than Wilson did . Clinton barely lost GA, VA, and NC so I think Wilson would do worse there and lose those states(maybe he holds on to NC)
