After they refused to follow this demand to get back at work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3ZTCPJ39LA

I dont get why this is so controversial :

1: They striked from a job where they have to keep people safe. So their strike threatened people's safety

2. This strike was illegal due to Taft-Hartley

Yes? So people don't get to fly? A complete deprivation of rights! How tragic!

Yes it is a deprivation of people's rights.

Yes it is a deprivation of people's rights.

Flying is a privilege, as is driving. Neither are rights.

So is working as an Air Traffic Controller .

The fact is they knew that striking would get them fired (according to Taft -Hartley) , the President warned them after they striked and they still refused to call it off meaning they justifingly got fired .

The fact is she knew that voting would get her arrested (according to the 15th Amendment), the election inspector warned her after they voted and she still refused to call it off meaning she justifiably got fined .

LMAO at comparing the right to vote to the right for workers to strike from jobs where they protect people.

Even assuming you agree with the decision, it seems like a rather odd thing to celebrate the anniversary of...

Im not celebrating it , its just that I want to dispel the myth that this decision was some how a super evil move . I saw on the news that it was 36 years since Reagan made this decision , and since I see people on this forum calling this decision evil I tried to explain why it wasnt.

Private Workers should have the right to strike , public workers whose job is too keep people safe should not. If they arent getting paid good enough , they should have their wages increased but they shouldnt threaten the safety of the people they need to protect.
