On domestic affairs, sure. But his foreign policy record, with the exception of the Berlin airlift, was quite horrible, and he started the precedent of unconstitutional "police actions" in foreign nations.

I think it's laughable to decide which set of foreign policy views is "progressive."

Then I hope you felt better after a nice laugh.

Lydon Johnson's forign policy was far worse then Truman

Not really much difference between the two, actually. I mean, a pointless war is a pointless war.

How was Korea a pointless war , the Soviet Union broke it's post war agreement and set up a communist North Korea which invaded South Korea and would have won without our help. I mean look at how good South Korea is today thriving economy, democracy which wouldnt have happened under the Kim Dynesty and South Korea would have looked like North Korea. For Vietnam it was different as it would never would have happened if we hadnt assainated Diem and forced South Vietnam to do everything the US says
