The Senate won't confirm a female Secretary of Defense.

Let's hope for the Republicans' sake that they don't put it that way.

I hope we get a community organizer.

Worked out great for the Presidency, why not extend the idea to other senior posts?

I dislike Obama probably as much as you and definitely much more than most Atlas users but can you stop repeating false attacks? The guy was a professor on Constitutional Law (don't think it did him that much good...) and a U.S. Senator and you say that he was a "community organizer." That is just bending the truth to fit a narrative.

But seriously, I am not sure that a bureaucrat is the right person at this time to head this crucial department.

Well we just had a senator in at the job and look at how that turned out...

It's not going to be McCain as he's already gearing up for reelection and I feel would have trouble working with Obama, and Jack Reed has already shown that he is not interested. Who would you suggest?

I would have no problem with someone who has experience working in the DoD.

Are you the anti-King? Tongue

Well I don't know his stances, but I noticed that he was a Republican from NM; I believe his name is a callback to Bruce King but probably not his kid Gary.

I differ from many dems in some views so maybe not completely anti-King.
