I see my charming personality was noted. Not a sock, not a troll, just abrasive. (Also I haven't been mentioned in a month. Hmm, guess people are getting used to it.).

I guess this post got on my nerves.

You would think that for two people from a party that values originalism and the Constitution above all, the legal and political standing of the Courts would be understood.

Classic Conservative PM'd me to clarify he was from Massachusetts and I told him I was wrong for the error. It was on the whole a nice exchange.

I'm mouthy and a bit mean at times but mostly to these who deserve it.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new thread namer.

Go ahead!  It only proves how having actual steadfastly conservative positions is ridiculed here!

Stop being a victim. It's so 1980s Tip O'Neill liberal.

We're supposed to be nice to younger posters in the hopes they convert to our views? Oh come on give me a break. This sounds like giving a trophy to every millennial for participation. Either hit back, defend your views, or adjust them. They'll toughen up, develop better arguments, or change their arguments. This isn't a safe space.

I thought the Trumpians were all about destroying safe spaces anyway?

cc: Irony ore mine given that it's coming from an embittered failson whose highest achievement in adult life is making the front page of r/cringe when he got his mother to comment on the size of his organ on Facebook.

What is it that makes social Darwinism so attractive to people who would almost undoubtedly be labelled as society's refuse?

What? I'd love to hear this story haha

Check your PM folder.

CC me on this?

If I had the choice I would ban Sanchez over Krazen. Not even a contest.

Disagree. Sanchez actually contributes and rarely trolls.

Agreed.

This might be an HP post, but I don't think that anyone should ignore the fact the Arabic world has a radical Islamic problem rooted in their cultural history and their lack of a secular society. Islam does have a cancer within it in that regard. It's not unreasonable to conclude that there is something from the string of attacks launched by radical Islamic figures. (Of course, you could say the same about white alt-right figures, even though in scope they're much less but they probably have, ironically, a similar cultural basis)

I don't see anything "dystopian" about that post.

I think if anything, going by the definition of dystopian, "relating to or denoting an imagined place or state in which everything is unpleasant or bad, typically a totalitarian or environmentally degraded one" that forbidding parents from exploring private options to save their children is dystopian. They raised funds, and are trying to save their child.

The state is trying to prevent them from exploring that option. That sounds, in fact, dystopian. I err on the side of private individuals, as long as state financing is not involved in end of life or terminal cases where the family may wish to prolong life.
