I'm willing to bet there are more people trained, properly, in first aid than at any point in history. Fewer people work with their hands, but I don't really see how that's a bad thing. More money was given to charity last year than ever before, we still want to help. Some people don't know how to react in an EXTREME (to the max) situation, but that's always been the case.
Perhaps you're right that there are more TRAINED people than has ever been before! But people now are more feeble than before!
It's a real challenge to survive a day without a cell phone!
And they became more iron-hearted! that's the bigger problem, I guess!
