Great idea.  Although I prefer this takes place at the State level.

33 States already have English as their official language anyway.

Well idk how much money it would cost but it is certainly a waste of time. Also if you look at the census people a lot of people with primarily English decent seem to think that their origin is 'American..?' so why not go the whole hog and make the official language American?
