McCain doesn't even need to win Georgia since its a proportional state...just stay close to the other two...right?

I'm glad Romney won Mass. Really, it was just mean (and extremely stupid) of McCain to try to "humiliate" Romney by campaigning full time in Mass.

Keep in mind McCain won massachusetts in 2000.

With 42% reporting, Huckabee is still holding on to a slender three point lead in Georgia over John McCain.

Huckabee: 35%
McCain: 32%
Romney: 29%
Paul: 3%

McCain seems like he's gonna need big margins in Fulton County...to catch Huck

MSNBC:  Romney camp - "McCain is underperforming tonight."

As opposed to who, God?

Heh...news flash for the Romney campaign...if anyone is underperforming more than John McCain...its Mitt Romney...

In a lynchpin state for his campaign...Romney is 3rd in Georgia.  How does bronze sound for you mitt?

McCain/Huckabee '08 LOL!

John McCain thanks the independent voters for their help, and promptly gives them a nice big middle finger...

I'm prepared to say Huckabee would be a dangerous as a VP nominee...but I don't know dangerous who for....if his charisma would help mccain/hurt dems, or if his fundamentalism would sink mccain faster than an iceberg

What are you looking at?  Romney had a slim two point lead over Huckabee last time I looked.  Tongue

Could we see something like West Virginia in Minnesota caucuses (it is a caucus right?)?  Maybe the mccain backers switched to huckabee

McCain/Huckabee '08............this would pretty much give Hillary or Barack a win automatically.

Many Republicans would be upset with that ticket.

I would...I like Huckabee as a person...but not his politics...and to say the least...I'd be very disturbed...

I just can't believe McCain is in 3rd in Minnesota.  It's another bronze from MN for McCain, I guess.

McCain doesn't fare well in caucuses, it is one right?...i suspect this time his supporters may be tactically supporting Huck

Huckleberry has a deal with Mac... it's all strategic, trying to bump the Mittster out for good...

Bank on Huck being the VP.

Or very very important cabinet secretary...

Why the hell won't they call Georgia yet?

A lot of votes left in Metro atlanta where both Romney and McCain are running far ahead of Huck...

Hmm, Mitt makes a good point. The chances of a brokered GOP convention have gone up.

Somewhat...but...Pennsylvania and Ohio, 2 of the remaining big 3 after today aren't really mitt friendly states...

Rmoney's strong placing with AZ conservatives seems to bode well for California...where the GOP primary voters tend to be pretty conservative.

McCain starts out with a huge lead in CA.

Northern CA counties thus far...

Who wins the vote in San Diego?

Missouri within a few hundred votes...what are the odds of a recount...and a result changing one at that?

McCain now only up by 18 points in CA.

Where do we expect Romney to get most of his votes from...i mean county wise...

Orange...where else?

McCain in his speech was most gracious to Huckabee and to Romney, congratulating both of them.

It makes me believe he wants to heal the rifts in the party, in particular the tough battle he has had with Romney.

Perhaps he is setting the groundwork, should he become the nominee, to asking Romney to be his running mate, which, given the considerable support Romney has received in primaries and caucuses, would be the best way of uniting the party.

Like Reagan-Bush...but I just don't see Mitt helping McCain electorally...and Bush Sr at least won some big states in 1980
