While Hashemite's proposition has much merit, I can see a myriad of legal issues arising out of it.

I am not willing to invalidate all legislation passed between then and now. Please if someone wants to take the responsibility to do this let me know.

The real question is, is the legislation valid (or its enforcement) when citizens do not have notice of it being in force?  (Since it may or may not be on the wiki)
