I think he's far too radical for anyone to take seriously. I see myself as Libertarian because I am socially liberal and fiscally conservative. Orthodox Libertarians would likely see me as not "Libertarian enough."

I for one really hate Libertarian "purity", the only way the libertarian movement is going to be successful is if they invite everyone in. That said, why is Ron Paul too radical to take seriously? What is particularly radical about him? I admire Ron, and I don't consider myself a radical, or even anarcho-capitalist.

For one, I am offended by his 9/11 truther stance. Sure, I agree the government should not have passed the PATRIOT Act, but don't go all tinfoil hat on us.
