I have to go up there every weekend. There are some good areas, but for the most part it's just the Alabama of the north.

What on Earth do people mean when they say this?  It's more "conservative"?  Plenty of conservatives all around states that are clearly part of the North and not at all Southern.  It's more "rural" or "redneck"?  Again, plenty of rednecks in every single Northern state who are not, in any way, Southern.  I honestly have never understood this term.

It's mostly been me who's said it. What I mean is that it's full of rural white rednecks.

Haven't the state's rural areas usually been its most Democratic areas?  Democratic-voting rednecks isn't exactly Alabama-like. Smiley

What is this forum's obsession with New Hampshire?

If one person on this site has an absurd, totally random and borderline psychotic obsessive hate for a place, it's naturally going to produce a few posters who are annoyed by it and therefore defend that place.  However, in general, I agree ... I can't say I ever thought about New Hampshire much before TN Vol went crazy, LOL.
