As for how Scott got elected well my family is from Charleston and many locals believe the whole primary was orchestrated by the RNC. My grandparents received 5-7 flyers in mail for that runoff and they're registered Democrats they have never received flyers from the GOP before.

I thought South Carolina didn't have partisan registration.

Silly. Those are Democrats, who supported slavery, seceded, and created the KKK. Also, political parties never ever (EVER) change.
