What about it?  Al Smith made significant inroads to Northern industrial areas that had long been Republican, and - even with vote splitting - Woodrow Wilson arguably laid the foundation for that trend.

But, with Computer89, all statements about politics have to fit nicely into a paragraph of a text book.

My  PS class in college said that 1932 election was one of the few elections where everything realigned in one election

What if there are other professors or textbook writers around the world who might disagree?
