If we could somehow get one of the oldster congresscritters to run that would be great, regardless of if they win the seat or not. Steve Lynch? Mike Capuano? Richard Neal? Jim McGovern? It's time for new blood on the congressional bench so I hope one of these guys run if this proves to be a "sacrificial lamb" situation.
I doubt any of them want to end their career on such an embarrassing note, although I'd be happy if we got rid of Lynch and Neal (the former because he's so moderate, and the latter because I would love to have a competitive primary in my district for a change). I hope McGovern and Capuano stay in Congress.
Lynch isn't really as moderate as he comes across.
I mean, who is, right?? Except for liberal Democrats from "red states" who are barely right of center on some token cultural issue, they're DINOs!
"Liberal Democrat who's barely right of center on a few token cultural issues" is a pretty good description of Lynch, actually.
Haha, I don't know anything about Lynch, I'll be honest.
I just always found it funny when some red avatars would say that Susan Collins is a secret right-winger who pays lip service to cultural liberals but Mark Pryor is some useless DINO ... not necessarily saying either can't be right, but they're literally like mirror images of one another on the opposite side of the spectrum, so pick one!
