lololol "moderate republican" at work!
He can be a moderate and still veto this...?
The commentary is how moderate Republicans are still complete and utter sh[inks] despite the "moderate" modifier that tries to make them appear less so.
What are you even saying? You can be a moderate when all of your views are taken into an aggregate and still feel strongly/have an "extreme" position on something; that doesn't disqualify you from calling yourself a moderate. Look, this site is probably about 75% passionate partisans, and they're always going to portray their political enemies as extremists, evil, dumb, whatever other bullsh*t they can come up with; I get that. However, the narrative that Republicans are really that different or more conservative than they were a few decades ago is SO overused. If you find tough-on-drugs stances deplorable and find pro-business policies evil, then it has been a LONG damn time since you'd feel comfortable in the GOP ... heck, I'd argue you would have never felt at home.
My point? If you don't think there are any "moderate" Republicans now, fine ... I think that's RIDICULOUS, but I can't change your mind. However, let's not pretend like it's a new phenomenon. It's so annoying to see people like Rauner or Hogan do ANYTHING that differs from your average Democratic foot soldier, and now all of a sudden they were lying about being moderates the whole time!!!! Lol...
