I knew Hillary would lose to a Northerner or minority, both there just so the GOP could say "hey guys were nawt just Southern whites!". In short, it'd be a reverse shot of 1976 where Democrats sought a Southerner to try and hold Nixon's Southern Strategy back.

I just figured Scott Walker or Marco Rubio would be the Jimmy Carter-esque foil to Hillary's obvious Ford.

And I figured it'd be Virginia, Colorado, NH, and Nevada that cost the election, with Wisconsin as a possibility.

I was right about the outcome, but wrong about the steps to get there...
