Election Day 2020 when Trump loses the Popular Vote by 7-8 points and the EV is lost bigly to an unapologetic leftist icon.

If Trump does not effectively become a label to Liberals and Democrats and an embarrassment for a time for Republicans as Jimmy Carter did, if the Democrat doesn't become a leftist avatar that completely alters the Overton Window...then there is just damage control.
