Yes, it's an excellent movie, but has anyone else read the book by William Goldman?

It's a lot bigger in scope, and more sarcastic, but dang if it ain't absolutely hilarious.

The movie may be one of my favorite movies of all time, but it really has nothing on the book. Though both are excellent comedies, what Goldman wrote for his book easily outdoes what he wrote for the screen and the performances of Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Andre the Giant, Christopher Guest,Columbo Peter Falk, and Billy Crystal.

There's just something about that over-the-top introduction, or the over-the-top descriptions of Westley and Buttercup that never ceases to amaze, or perhaps it's the Zoo of Death [which for budget reasons was changed to a mere place under a tree].

So, has anyone else here given it a read?
