In response to Mordecai's "Worst 3", I thought it prudent to also find the best since WWII.
These three Democrats are well looked upon generally speaking, they have minor scratches though and were slightly status-quo-ish,which makes it interesting.
FDR is practically an icon, and LBJ,Carter and Obama were already in another poll for understandable reasons.
Personally I like JFK the most, Truman like many say of Carter was more of just an amazing guy in over his head. His decisions were excellent, but he just wasn't that effective at the time. Narrowly he has to take second, very very narrowly.
And Bill Clinton was a super drinker of the deregulation juice/ not a New Dealer...so forget him. Also "welfare reform"? Great leading, but he was damage control at best, an inverted Eisenhower. And he didn't have much integrity to him.
That kinda gives it to JFK, he honestly did try to reign in the CIA after the mistake with the Bay of Pigs, he did end up starting up the groundwork for the Civil Rights Act of '64...no denying he should've been better about it and LBJ was the true master of that, but still. He did a helluva lot in just a little over 1000 days.
