I mean, if an organization is substantively and systematically determined to slant Wikipedia's reporting, such that it requires more than constant vigilance but rather 24/7/365-no-bathroom-breaks defense, I think Wikipedia deserves these safeguards

It's clearly against the rules to do this anyway and I doubt these computers from these IP addresses are editing articles on spoons or mountain goats or whatever.  By the way, who would spend an hour of their life writing about the spoon on wikipedia?

Nah, I think he laughs at such people while simultaneously encouraging them since they help his project.

I have a hard time believing he is involved in editing inane random things that don't need defining whatsoever
