The Democrats regard for Rush's ramblings is feigned though.  No one actually cares.

Foreign policy liberals tend to like Chavez before I explain to them about how he's a military thug who forcibly squashes [omg right-wing] dissent.  I've convinced a number of random peaceniks I've had as roommates etc. that Chavez isn't that swell of a chap.

Hopefully a byproduct of declining oil prices is that he loses his funds to run a disgusting government and is deposed.

Well, Rush is obviously the latest political buzz.  He deserves the threads because the discussion is engulfing political junkies in Washington as well as the news media.

That may well happen, but I don't think that hoping for it is especially clever. It isn't as the process is likely to be anything other than ghastly and it isn't as though the new government would be any better.

I'm not convinced the eventual revolution in Venezuela is necessarily going to be that bloody.
