Will you admit your overestimation was "wrong?"  I fully admit I was wrong on some things (not the 40-60% and not the 240 million), so I'm not asking you do to anything I'm not doing.  I mean, 240 million was pretty significantly off.

In exchange, I will respond to your September numbers theory.  If I respond now you'll ignore what I type and just respond to that Sad

My official numbers did not count McCain's "Joint RNC Fundraising Committee" as his money and instead counted it as RNC money (which I think is more accurate since I believe they accept 28.5k donations while he doesn't).

But why did you dig up my old post?  I just frickin' said I was wrong on that number sir!  Will you said you were wrong on your 240 million, and your "40-60% of 114 million" numbers?

Just say you were wrong, that's all, I want to see if you can.  Otherwise it's silly to debate with you.  I can, Alcon can, the Vorlon can, Samspade can, Phil can, everyone can.

I admitted I was wrong!  This isn't about me.  There's no point in digging up my post to prove I didn't count the joint fundraising committee when I already admitted I was wrong, there's nothing to prove.

You said the RNC+McCain had 240 million.  You said the RNC got 40-60% of its 114 million from McCain in September.

These numbers are wrong?  What's so hard with admitting that you are wrong, we're all wrong sometimes, including myself oftentimes.  Why can't you say that  If you can't, there's no point in anyone debating with you ever, so it's actually quite meaningful.

Gosh, stop nitpicking and answer my point, this is why it's frustrating.  Were you not in fact wrong with your "240 million" and your 110 million number?  If you can admit it, then it makes it actually possible to debate with you in the future.

So, were you wrong, inaccurate, less than factual, with those two numbers?  You were not simply "questioning the given numbers" if you look at your posts, that's not what you were saying.

Yes, I got that number wrong because of double counting what MCCain raised.

Smiley Smiley

Thank you.  I feel like it was all worth it.

One caveat on the September number, McCain was also likely spending money really quickly at the end in his last days as a privately-funded campaign, 2+ million a day wouldn't surprise me.  Oftentimes fundraisers have their estimates posted online if they are big enough.
It's also less than likely that as many people as normal want to donate right at the last second when it's obvious McCain will just pass it on to the RNC.  It's possible some people who donated/will donate 28,500 to the RNC want to donate an extra 2,300, but I'm not sure how many thousands of people are trying to scam the system like that.

But, on the other hand, McCain was averaging 3.3 million a day after the Palin pick, so you could be right.

Cheers, my work here is done.

I don't care anymore, we have the actual numbers and I admitted I made mistakes as well.  Last post on this thread, I promise.  I have wasted too much of my life here as it is to argue when we were both wrong.
