States is right on that point.

Probably the biggest "head scratcher" for me was when Governor  Bush vetoed expanding hate crime rules to sexuality.  That would be ok if you oppose the hate crime system in general, but obviously Bush hasn't said anything about that.

After reading that post htmldon, all I got stuck in my head is an image of little Timothy with his crutches, trying to ward off some muggers assaulting him.  The whole time he has these big blue puppy-dog eyes that are just a tad wattery..staring at you as he fends them off.

He's a politician dude.

I suppose the reason why homosexuality gets its own phobia is that its phobia has taken a new definition from the root words.

  1. Fear of or contempt for lesbians and gay men.
   2. Behavior based on such a feeling.

Its definition has expanded to include the word "contempt."  If you don't consider that definition to be insulting or offensive if someone were to apply it to you, then that's fine.  But many do, and thus it's bandered around like it is.

The so called "Religious Right".

Other civilized nations do not have this trouble.

Other civilized nations do not have a religious right?  Are you serious?

Japan and Eastern Europe are the only exceptions I can think of.

People say that being against homosexuality is homophobia. Homophobia is being afraid of homosexuals.

The word also means "contempt of homosexuals" (definition above).  It's evolved beyond its original meaning.

they exist but they don't wield as much power as in the US. the only nations that have more powerful ones are theocratic ones.

The only ones?  Is that what you want to believe?

Let's see: Israel, Ireland, and parts of Britain all have very strong "religious rights."  If you're branching out to all countries that aren't theocratic, then I can list thousands, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, most of South America, etc.  I don't know enough about most of these to give direct comparisons, but they all have strong "religious rights"

I have another question

8.  Taking into account that none of those images are particularly clever, why do you keep posting the same ones irrelevant of the subject matter?  How about you just post a link and whenever we feel the urge to look at them, we'll know how to satisfy it.
