Well? Huh I'm sure Sarah Palin was aware O'Donnell wasn't going to win the GE in DE. Why'd she choose to endorse her?

For the same reason DeMint did.

You need to think of things in absolute terms.  If the moderate, establishment wing of the GOP gains, Sarah Palin loses.  It's not about the Republican team as a whole.  Sarah & Jim would rather have the seat fall to Democrats than Mike Castle, and that's exactly what they did.
