I'm not sure this is much of a story. I mean, politicians and campaigns edit their Wikipedia entries all the time. They just did it in a stupid way.

I guess it's enough to distract us tech savvy, politically knowledgeable politico watchers, though ...

Rich Miller's whacking in the article I referenced is pretty hard, and from one of the top, if not the top, reporter in the state

The story is quite weird.  Bill Brady's page is now locked.  See the link above for the deets.

Usually, it's Aaron Schock who gets whacked pretty hard in those parts ...

[On the ProgressIL story above: Yeah, I don't really know what to make of that, outside of it being weird, and tangent to the wikipedia story.  I took a glance at a few other controversial senate bills he sponsored and couldn't find any other ones scrubbed outside of his mass-slaughter-of-sheltered-animals one, but he publicly removed his sponsorship when a few groups like the "Humane Society" objected]

On the Shock photo: Mr. M, the skintight plaid & light blue belt don't do it for you?

[quote]According to the blogosphere, the image was “jamming up the gay staff listserv” on Capitol Hill.

“Obviously, it was what I thought was a sporty outfit,” Mr. Schock said of his picnic attire. “It was probably a little too bright, in retrospect.”

...

“Good supporters who have single daughters say, ‘Hey, you need to take my daughter out,’ ” Mr. Schock said. “And it’s awkward.”

He didn't strike me as gay so much as very tightly controlled,

Hypothetically, couldn't those be related?

Alright, alright.  I don't think any other male in Congress has a bright blue belt or those pants anywhere in their wardrobe though haha

Other than Michigan, I'd love to see Illinois elect a Republican governor. Their current gun laws desperately need to be changed. And Brady seems to be the only one who cares about passing a shall issue law for carrying concealed weapons. The fact of the matter is their crime will not decrease until such a law has been passed.

You're aware that there's this thing called a legislature, right?

And your statement seems severely flawed.  Crime will not decrease until concealed carry laws are passed?  NYC crime has gone down over the law decade without said laws passing.  Just because, in your view, crime is guaranteed to go down if concealed carry laws pass, doesn't make them the necessary catalyst for any sort of crime reduction?  Crime is a complex outcome based on hundreds of variables.

Only if you hate freedom. More guns = less crimes, always and forever.

Actually, his generalization was worse than that.  He said expanding gun ownership was the ONLY way to reduce crime.
