Fidel Castro and Lenin were both mentally unhinged and nuttier than squirrel sh**t, e.g. his comment of GD Ella the nun and humanitarian. He only gets a free pass because people still want to believer.

The French Revolution was a bourgeois revolution, not a socialist one. The sad history of the 19th and 20th centuries should have taught us that democracy and liberty cannot exist without the secure right to property.

Cuba wasn’t a colony. That’s just bull plop in the same vein as blood for oil because if the USA wanted Cuba’s sugar or Iraq’s oil, it can just buy it. Socialism has collapsed since 1989. Its an obsolete 19th century ideology.

Biden doesn’t have the votes in Congress to repeal the embargo even if he wanted to. It also can’t be legally repeal before Cuba has paid compensation for or returned nationalised American property

America also forced Romania among others of the old Eastern Bloc o pay compensation for U.S. property nationalised by the communists after the Iron Curtain finallly fell and they were white.

It is NOT as simple as EVIL WHITEY AND POOR BROWNEY and never has been.

Fidel Castro was a brutal arsehole, no different to a Bokassa or Selassie. And anything “positive” the world hears about Cuba is sifted and filtered by the regime so it is possibly even probably as phoney as a three dollar bill.

It’s a real shame you don’t understand that from the river to the sea, Palestine shall be free means the physical destruction of Israel and the murder of its Jewish inhabitants. That’s what it has always meant to mean.

And pointing out Fidel Castro was brutal should not be controversial.

Dear person who falsely talked about apartheid in this thread.

One major Israeli response to Arafat second intifada suicide bombing campaign was preventive: the construction of the security barrier separating Israelis and Palestinians and the imposition of a much more severe separation regime in the West Bank. These tactics successfully choked off the access routes to Israeli cities and saved many Israeli (and Palestinian) lives. Those who now orate about "Israeli apartheid" should recall why this situation came about.

Muhammad only turned his cult into a new religion after the Jewish leadership in Mecca rejected his claim to be a prophet. An article in The Times of London at the time of the ISIS crisis said that given what would happen in later centuries, maybe they should have accepted him…

Not many Jews or Muslims in Cuba, is the thing about bringing this up in this thread.

Some people have one track minds.

Some people would do well to become a decent person and not taint the memory of people such as Leon Klinghoffer by uncritically swallowing “Nakba” propaganda.

My final OT post will just remind that The Arabs demanded All of Mandate Palestine in 1948, threw the dice, and got None of Palestine.

Abbas in 2011 said that rejecting the Partition plan had been a mistake, but as Brian Cohen that Monty Python character said, “bit late for that now”…

British voters showed they don’t want Old Labour style socialism.
