Isn't Walker more conservative than Parnell? I'm not sure this is going to work.

Presumably Walker will make some concessions should he be elected. He likely wouldn't have been able to win without a sort of deal like this.

It's a confusing as hell move. I don't know why Democrats are embracing this.

They are embracing this deal because it's better to have a Democrat be the Lieutenant Governor, and a conservative who has to concede to the Alaska Democrats because they got him elected.

Walker definitely isn't more conservative than Parnell. A quick browse of his website reveals that. He supports raising the minimum wage, supported Medicaid Expansion, doesn't want to repeal the ACA, and he's fairly pro-environment.

This move makes sense. And I think the ticket could win.
