Exchange of the day (Clinton's response to Fox News's Ed Henry about the email server):

Obviously she couldn't say yes, but if she didn't try to wipe it, then why in the world would she not just say no? This is a classic example of why some people get turned off by her.

That's pretty much how I'd respond. Not helpful, but I'd be pissed off by this and treat the questions with the contempt they deserve.

She can't act like this is a non-issue anymore. Even if she is completely free from any wrongdoing or negligence, there is a perception of that in the air right now, and statements like this certainly do not help her situation.

The State Department defending her will probably go over as well as Christie's hand-picked investigators clearing him of wrongdoing in Bridgegate.

More work related emails are being found from the batch that she didn't turn over.

State Dept. seeking an extension on deadline for Clinton email release from January 29th to February 29th.

"The department said in a federal court filing that it needed until Feb. 29 after realizing this week that it had "overlooked" an unspecified number of emails it should have already shared with other agencies for them to review for sensitive information."

The FBI has completed its examination of Clinton's server and will be interviewing her, as well as other aides, in the next few days. There will be a decision soon after that. Looks like this whole thing is finally coming to a close very soon.

Au contraire. The "scandal" may come to a close, but the conspiracy theories and talking points will never end. It's the cycle of Clinton life. Wink

I'll guess the next phase:

"Comey didn't recommend an indictment because he was implicated in an email chain where both he and Clinton planned the Benghazi cover-up."
