Lincoln Value Added Tax Act
To pay for programs

Be it enacted by the Government of the Region of Lincoln

1. This legislation shall be called the "Lincoln Value Added Tax"
2. The Government of Lincoln shall establish a Value Added Tax of 7.5% for all goods except for, all materials related to education, clothing, and food.
3. The Lincoln Value Added Tax will become effective immediately following the passage of the budget for the region of Lincoln for the fiscal year 2020-2021.

Given the high taxes we just imposed in the Sanction Fast Food Act, I would think it's best to oppose this.

We don't need a 15% tax on this on top of income and corporate tax increases. Our deficit isn't that big. And Honestly unless Sanction Fast Food fails at the ballot box we don't need this bill at all.

Unless anyone else disagrees, I'm going to let this veto stand without an override vote. This will allow us to hold the referendum this weekend with the other referendum rather than possibly sending voters to the polls two weekends in a row.
