The stream I'm watching doesn't have a vote counter, and everyone is voting way too quietly to be heard. Any interesting ones?

The way the vote works is that the clerk reads off the entire roll first, then announces how each senator voted. Then there is time for those who did not vote immediately to cast their vote. The vote ends at the discretion of the Acting President Pro Tempore (currently Lankford).

Collins and Murkowski immediately voted in the negative. We're at 50-50 assuming no further defections. Live Count is currently 45-2 Yes

I think they're abstaining.

What's the reasoning behind this?

We don't know. It's not uncommon for a straggler or two to literally make the vote last an hour. Unlike the House, no time limit is established for the vote.

So going to ask this again (didn't get any takes last time), anyone here think that that this is the GOP tacitly pushing population reduction under the guise of ACA repeal? There is already a hatred of "the poors."

LOL; Obviously No

McCain, if you opposed the "closed-door" process, then why did you just vote yes? Kirkpatrick, Why did you have to run such a poor campaign against this cuck? WHY?!?

If only McGinty or Feingold had won.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure the vast majority of people who voted for Toomey/Johnson/Rubio/Trump knew exactly what they were voting for.

There were a significant amount of Clinton/Toomey voters (that were only partially canceled out by Trump/McGinty voters), Clinton/Johnson voters, and Clinton/Rubio voters. Same holds in NC, AZ, GA. The only major senate races with mass straight ticket were NV, CO and IL. The deciding votes to keep the R senate majority came largely from people wanting to check Hillary (the presumed winner), and not from Trump loyalists.
