Hillary better hope Sanders gets at least 11 delegates tonight and no supers endorse her. Shes only 57 delegates away from clinching the nomination, Puerto Rico has 67. I'm gonna assume Sanders gets alteast 30% here but if he doesn't, her turnout could be screwed come Tuesday.

Per AP, she has 60 to go, not 57. Puerto Rico has 60 pledged, 7 supers. So if Hillary gets 85.1%, she cliniches today.

CNN is doing full-fledged special coverage of this. Results could start up at any moment.

Is there a chance Sanders could fall under the threshold and get Clinton to the magic number today?

Like a 3% chance.

So, why are we once again delayed for results from PR?

They reduced the # of polling places, apparently to save money, but probably also to help out Hillary (6 of the 7 superdelegates have already endorsed Hillary), so #longlines.

The delegate allocation at that level would be 37-23 Clinton.

Imagine if California were this slow. Tongue

California is largely mail-in. Remember that Washington is still counting votes.

Just give all 60 delegates to Sanders. Clinton doesn't need the delegates.

If this margin holds, the delegate allocation will be 37-23 or 38-22.

Wondering if Sanders can hit 40%.

Areas where Sanders is above 40%:

San Juan (63% in)
Bayamon (40% in)
Mayaquez (56% in)

Areas where Sanders is between 35% and 40%:

Humacao (23% in)
Carolina (16% in)

Areas where Sanders is below 35%:

Arecibo (79% in)
Ponce (51% in)
Guayama (33% in)

So about equal left between the three groups. I think the margin stays about where it is.

I am going to take a moment to say how completely unacceptable it is for a state that closed its polls at 3 PM EST to still have 48% of its vote to count at 11:15 PM EST. This is why it is never okay to use hand counting outside of mandated recounts and never reduce the # of polling places. I don't care if you have to borrow money from Saudi Arabia, it's simply unacceptable for vote counting to be this slow.

Unless there's something else of importance on the ballot (is there?), it makes no sense for PR to break more of the bank on a primary for an election they can't even participate in anyway.

Although if the statement in the link Lief posted is true, then you can blame Bernie's campaign for this crippling inefficiency.

Gubernatorial and congressional delegate primaries, plus local stuff.

The delegate allocation is 34-20 Clinton, with 6 delegates uncallable.
