This Poll is from Late June per Wikipedia (despite the tweet they sourced, linked below, being from earlier this month), but I was not aware of it until now and it doesn't seem to have been posted before.

Edwards (D): 34%
Vitter (R): 21%
Angelle (R): 21%
Dardenne (R): 12%

Remember that there will be a runoff in LA if no candidate reaches 50% on election day.

Wow. I saw another poll with Angelle in first. What a disaster for Vitter. I haven't seen Miles around as much, but I wonder what is happening in Louisiana.

Vitter is one of the weaker Louisiana Republicans. In 2004, he was the only republican on the ballot, but only barely avoided a runoff, running well behind Bush 43 in the state. In 2010, his top challenger tried to bring him down with this scandal: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/melancon-s-first-tv-ad-david-vitter-hasn-t-been-honest-with-louisiana-video. It never materialized due to that year's republican wave, but it's an open question as to whether it would have been a tough race for Vitter in a less favorable climate. Even looking at this race, there have been polls taken of a Vitter/Dardenne runoff (two republicans) - Vitter has been leading in them, but typically only by single digits.
