MS now at 52-48, just under half of the vote is in. McDaniel should get it when it's all said and done. Goodbye Cochran.

Cochran may just barely hold on, but it will be 51-49 if he does, Jones county isn't in yet.

MS-Sen: AP with 72.7% of precincts in and Cochran at 50.9%, McDaniel at 49.1%.
That's called McDaniel being on pace to catch up...

And we still have 30% of the vote to count in Jones.

If it ends up this close, what is the likelihood of a recount?
Well, it would have to get within 0.5%, which has not happened so far. We'll see what the rest of Jones does.

There aren't recount laws in MS.
Well, in that case, McDaniel is the sort of person who would take this to court.

Not so fast.  There's still quite a bit of outstanding vote from Desoto County that seems to favor McDaniel.
Desoto is at 88%, Jones is at 97%. There probably isn't enough left to make up the whole 4,044 vote difference. And with it being outside of 1 point, McDaniel won't take it to court. If it's within 1 point, he just might do so.
