WASHINGTON DC - Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) had choice words for his former rival, President Joe Biden, this Thursday in an interview with NBC. Despite endorsing then-presidential candidate Biden shortly after suspending his own campaign for president last April, Senator Sanders went on the attack against the Democratic President, implying that he was not a real Democrat.

"President Biden may have successfully passed a stimulus aimed at helping the American people, but the failure to include a $15 minimum wage is inexcusable. This stimulus is not enough, and if President Biden does not have the courage to go after the pharmaceutical industry, I wonder if he should even bother calling himself a Democrat."

Multiple Democrats quickly denounced Sanders's comments, calling on him to apologize to the President, some going so far as to say that he still owes former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton an apology.

"Senator Sanders's comments are completely out of line and sow division at a time in which unity is critical," commented Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

"Inappropriate and divisive," were the words Senator Coons (D-DE) used.

Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) laughed off Sanders's comments. "Give me a break, Senator Sanders is the one who isn't a real Democrat."

Former MSNBC host Chris Matthews had even more choice words for the Vermont Senator.

"Bernie is trying to be Benedict Arnold here, as usual, but he's not fooling me. He's been helping Republicans for years, and frankly I wonder if he secretly wants Republicans to win and doesn't believe anything he says. The guy's a nut and doesn't belong in the Democratic Party. By the way, he still hasn't apologized to Hillary for practically endorsing Trump in 2016."

Some have speculated that Senator Sanders will launch a third presidential campaign in 2024, even if President Biden runs for re-election. While many Democrats expressed disdain for the idea, House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy seemed giddy at the prospect.

"I hope he runs again," McCarthy said. "I would love to run ads about his socialism in 2024. I think we could get close to 300 House seats. Run, Bernie, run!"
