I like the increased amount of cultural influence in the world.

And I don't think everyone in the world should have to learn/become fluent in English.

Alright, hate away:

-Schadenfreude is unhealthy/bad

-Soccer is better than football

-A majority of people are at least mildly xenophobic

-Many rich people don't work hard and didn't "earn" their wealth

-Chinese is not impossible to learn, and is actually much more consistent/logical than English

-Rainy climates suck, and saying that doesn't make me any less of a Seattleite

-Multiple choice tests are the worst kind of tests

-Mario Sunshine was an amazing game

-Meyers-Briggs tests are as accurate as horoscopes

-Liver is delicious

It's easier to be a tw&t offline (a few professional exceptions) than it is online.

Do you mean for you personally or for people in general?

Teachers should be paid six figure salaries. There, I said it.

Being “independent” (personally, not politically) is overrated in America, and being a good team player is underrated.

People who make the "both sides do it" argument never actually call out both sides. They're just as biased toward one side as people who admit to being partisan.

Also, trigger warning for BRTD:

There's nothing wrong with making fun of the misuse of the word "populist/populism"

People are not inherently "good" or "bad". Our actions define who we are. So being "good" or having a moral compass on the inside doesn't make someone a good person if they regularly act in selfish, cruel way.

Natural disasters, in the political world, are nothing but a political tool.

I don't think you're going to get much disagreement there.

Individualism is not inherently better than collectivism (though it's not inherently worse, either. The ideal is a balance of both, IMO.)

Not unpopular in my neck of the woods, but worldwide it certainly is: In education, growth is more important than achievement.

Wisconsin is neither a Safe D nor a Safe R state. It is a solid purple state that will remain competitive for the foreseeable future.

That doesn't sound like a bad or hot take. Is it an unpopular one?

On Atlas, it certainly is. Most people either believe that 2016 was a total fluke or that Wisconsin is the next Arkansas and is less likely to flip in 2020 than Arizona, Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina, and would still go Republican even if Pennsylvania went Democratic by high single-digits.

Democrats don't need a perfect candidate (which doesn't exist) to beat Trump in 2020.

The 2020 election is a Toss-Up, and people who claim that Trump is either doomed or safe are delusional.

Our countries obsession with “change” and “new” when it comes to the presidency might be one of our worst traits. It feels like everyone wants to change to the point we’re forgetting the president is still a job that one should be qualified for.

I agree, though I think this problem (the obsession with "something different/new") goes far beyond just the presidency.

People labeled "coastal elites" are just as misrepresented and misunderstood (if not more) than "rural whites."

People who unironically use the term “Bernie Bros” are likely much more obsessed with (hating) Bernie than 95+% of his supporters.
