I can't really vote in this poll, because I've never been to Chicago, other than the airport (something which I'm hoping to change soon!)
New York, which is kind of a second home to me, is awesome, and I'll gladly debate anyone who claims otherwise. I wouldn't want to live in Manhattan, but it just has so much to offer in terms of food, entertainment, and scenery. Queens is probably my second favorite borough, and there are some great Asian places in Flushing. The Bronx Zoo remains the most impressive zoo I've been to in my life. I have family about a half-hour north of the city, and I certainly wouldn't mind that kind of arrangement.
Maybe Chicago can compete with New York. I'll withhold judgment until I actually go there.
