Even though I don't think she's a bad candidate at all, I'll admit that many people do overrate Clinton, or at least her chances of winning. It's too soon to say that it's a sure thing she'll win the nomination. While I like her chances of winning a GE right now, a lot can change, and a lot will depend on who her opponent is, and how popular Obama is (true, she's not Obama, but McCain wasn't Bush.)
On the Republican side, definitely Walker. The fact that he's popular among conservatives and could rally the base in no way means that he could win a GE. Warren would certainly rally the Democratic base, does that mean that she would win a GE? Winning by mid-high single digits in two Republican wave years does not make you "battle tested." Would Republicans call Sherrod Brown "battle tested"?
Also, Paul comes to mind, because I don't think he'd stand a chance of winning the nomination. The Republican establishment would likely throw their support behind other candidates, and Paul would probably be seen as too out-of-touch with the mainstream to win.
