Could I ask why besides party? I'll grant he's done pretty good with COVID but otherwise, he's been pretty bleh. A step up from Malloy (more willing to listen to objections for one) but it's an open secret in Hartford that he's super limp-wristed; Aresimowicz and Looney are the real governors.
The Lieberman challenge.
At the time that was pretty neat, but that was a long time ago; it doesn't really speak a lot to his governorship. I'll reiterate that he's better than Malloy, but he's still done some regressive things (prepared meals tax) and isn't especially assertive. He's tried multiple separate times to get tolls through and has publicly given up in open frustration each time. That isn't a strong-willed person even if I don't agree with the idea of tolls.
