A Kerry presidency wherein he won the EV/lost the PV would've been just as wrong as Bush's & Trump's, regardless of the potentially positive political implications for the left.

my point is to attack the Republicans here who believe that anybody who attacks the moronic and antidemocratic EC is motivated by partisan hackery.

What a weird point to make your comparison by, given the scientific revolution was largely fought between an establishment that dogmatically stuck by Aristotelian dogma and scientists who were coming up with better ways to describe the world? Do you believe the only elements are fire, earth, air, water and aether? Are you a diehard opponent of the Copernican model? Do you think gravity is a myth because a dropped object is merely returning to its natural place depending on their weight?
