Nuclear proliferation is going to be an issue. Maybe He will not use nuclear weapons, but he is creating a World Order and Polity that basically gives the middle finger to a system of economics and policy that was a reaction to the creation of nuclear weapons. Basically, His election was the ultimate vote of confidence that no nuclear weapons will ever be used again.
Wow, only a few days of being president elect and he's already reached divinely capitalised pronouns.
The problem with trump is:
- he's a nationalist. One of the key reasons that war doesn't happen very much is because of the global economy. A US-China war, for insyance, even if it avoided population centres would cause economic chaos unless the US government launched a huge stimulus program of rearmament. If the economies are disentangled, both Chinese and American crazies are emboldened.
- he breeds uncertainty. Nuclear brinkmanship is an incredibly dangerous atrategy. If you successfully make your enemy believe you are crazy enough to launch missiles, they may panic and overreact themselves. This counts for people down the chain of command as well - has anybody heard the story of the Cold War Soviet officer who avoided WW3 by not ordering retaliation against incoming missiles that turned out to be Norwegian weather balloons?
