His ideology isn't a problem; but his sanctimony, his lack of clarity, his retreading of overly safe ground, his appearance and lack of posture and his generally weird behavior cripples his chances.

tbh I think Kasich would be better in regards to Obamacare if he had the nerve to defend Obamacre. As it is, it's nonsensical and clear proof that he is trying to have his cake and eat it:

Kasich: (waving arms) I oppose Obamacare and would repeal it.

Moderator: But you expanded Medicaid in your own state, Governor?

KAsich (arms flailing in every direction) That's what JESUS would have done! Policy X of Obamacare is a great important policy that has helped many people

Moderator: So you support Obamacare?

Kasich (arms fly off into audience) What gave you that idea???

If he had said "Obamacare needs to be fixed blah blah blah", it would have been more daring (and KAsich, bless, lacks the charisma to really pull sucha move off) but it wouldn't be as bad as his  ducking of the issue.
