Yes, I know it's all overshadowed by the General election, but the vast majority of England (sans London) have some form of local elections up this year.

Namely:

all but 6 of the unitaries; of which 30 are having the full council elected and 19 have one third up.

All the metropolitan boroughs, of which all have one third up for election except redistricted Doncaster, which is fully up.

All bar 7 of the districts, of which 128 are up fully for election and 66 have one third up.

There are also 6 direct Mayoral elections.

The vast majority of these seats were last up during 2011.

Ah the maternal side of my family is in Sedgemoor (Bridgewater to be specific). What's your connection?

Three Rivers and Watford, which have been narrowly kept by LD's in previous disasters are both swept into NOC. more woes for Watford LD's after the dismal result from their popular Mayor in the general.

Labour has all 96 seats in Manchester. Has this ever happened in a big city before?
