Does Katy Perry actually write songs? I was under the impression that she had a team of people to write her songs for her.

She works with some people but also has songs she wrote on her own. She's even sold songs to other artists.

Basically all of her hits was written with and produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin. Two of the most succesful writers/producers of all time.

Dr. Luke is successful, but that doesn't mean he makes great music. He is to blame for Ke$ha, after all.
