Harlem, one of America's major Black meccas in New York City, Manhattan is culturally changing. A reverse Great Migration is happening where Black New Yorkers are heading back to the South (Georgia, North Carolina).....and white gentrifiers are replacing the Black Harlemites.

Spike Lee isn't happy about this........

Can a white person win a political seat in Harlem?

When the people of Harlem decide to vote for one. White people can and do win in majority Black areas, and vice versa.

I know de Blasio, Bloomberg, Clinton, etc have won there in mayor and presidential races.

But City Council, U.S. House, state Senate, state Assembly.....whites are seen as gentrifiers....a lot of Black Harlemites are not happy that a Latino is representing Harlem.....
