If New Hampshire and Iowa weren't so bitchy about being first we wouldn't be having this problem either.

What difference would it make?  If the primaries started in March rather than January, things would only slide by two months.  There was already intensive coverage of this election as far back as January of this year, so we'd still have the bulk of 2007 filled with '08 campaign news regardless.
