I think it's pretty foolish for a Kurd to try to live in Kirkuk during the Saddam Hussein era. Also pretty foolish for Muslims to live in majority Serb areas of the Balkans during the 90s, or for Sunnis to live in Alawite areas of Syria. Why do people torture themselves like that, rather than just relocate to places where there'll be accepted?
You know, I lose a lot of sympathy for the plights of gay people when they try comparing their struggles to genocide and segregation.
