Santorum is ahead nationally, but trailing Romney in Alabama?

The Alabama poll was partially taken before Santorum's victories on Tuesday.

A few thousand people in three states vote for Santorum and now millions of lemmings all of a sudden say he is their top pick?!

That's how it works.  See, e.g., John Kerry's national polling numbers before and after Iowa in 2004.
