Add this to the long list of reasons why I'll never live in Floribama.

Chris DeLuzio leads his Republican opponent 55-45 in Lamb's seat with 79% in.

Jeremy Schafer (who copied Fetterman's logo in his lawn signs) has conceded to Chris DeLuzio in PA-17, keeping Conor Lamb's seat in Democratic hands. The last load of absentee ballots from Allegheny County have also just been delivered to the election warehouse.

For the first time in history, the Republican Party has actually overestimated the stupidity of the American public.

Without reservation, I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. Whoever it was posted the tweet about Biden being the most underrated political genius of our time has it on the money. I have never seen an off-year election this favorable to the party in power in all my time following politics, and a huge part of that has been Biden's ability to sell the GOP's cognitive shift to outright insanity to the American public.

Pretty impressive for a man with dementia.

NV-SEN feels like watching a football game that ends 12-10 with the winning team kicking four field goals.

Does this mean winning in an incredibly ridiculous way?

Winning ugly.

Watch it be 218-217 GOP and then watch there be a special election in some random Safe R district.

I said about 100 pages back that if it's 218-217, Jeff Van Drew will change parties again. Wink

Someone who voted to overturn the election becoming the Manchin of the House is peak 2022.

By the way, if Democrats indeed fall short of a single seat, you could also blame Charlie Crist instead of New York Democrats. He threw away a swing district in Florida for a vanity run that he could never win. Should have remained in the House and let some other sacraficial lamb lose to DeSandwich.

On the other hand, Andy Levin also could be blamed for running against fellow Democrat in super-safe district instead of running for a swing MI-10, which he would probably won

Even worse, James is now the governor in waiting in 2026.

Why is it so f***ing hard to get Democrats in blue states to vote for Democrats?

Mostly e-day drop-offs then. There should only be like 5k election day in person in there.

Is this Nevada?

Just want to say thanks to you all for your work on all the updates in this thread. I can't do the daily feces of politics anymore for my own mental health so I'll disappear again after the Georgia runoff until 2024 heats up. But Atlas will always be the place I go to make sense of what's going on and what to expect when the results are trickling in.
